100% GOTS organic cotton and plant-based rubber. Meaning they are 100% biodegradable.
Wild and Stone was founded in 2018 by two friends that started buying plastic-free home products for themselves and their children, and believed they could create products even more eco-friendly than what was already out there.
In terms of fair manufacturing, Wild & Stone pays their workers almost double the minimum wage of their country, which is in the South Indian coastal state of Tamil Nadu. Their team operates under safe working conditions (SEDEX) and are free to join unions.
About 15 Million hair ties get lost or thrown away every day in the US alone. All that inorganic cotton (an extremely water and pesticide heavy crop), and synthetic rubber takes a real toll on the planet.
Lovely colour and texture (don’t pull your hair), feel like they won’t loose elasticity quickly like some and don’t feel like they’ll snap like some. Unlike other reviews said, they are jet black. Good value too. Definitely the best eco hair bands I’ve tried.
These hair ties are amazing. Good grip without pulling and snagging. I’ll be stocking up on these, so good! Best I’ve found.
I struggle with hair ties due to having thick hair. These are really strong and tight. They don’t pull at my hair either. Very happy with my purchase. Definitely worth the money. Colours are lovely too.
They are strong and I am someone with curly hair and they have never gotten tangled and ripped my hair out. They are quite elastic but hold their shape and they dont slip off. Really happy!
The environmentally friendly side is nice and they feel nice.
But i probably wouldn't buy another pack.
A few of mine lost their elasticity pretty fast, not that they have loads to begin with.
A couple have deformed really badly and lots of the elastic strands snapped and poke out of the fabric after they get stretched.
A couple are looking brand new after weeks of use though, So it seems to just be a bit hit and miss with the quality.
None of that makes them unusable though, They just end up looking a bit knackered after a week.
