We only used plastic free soaps before the 1950's, can we get there again?
Let's start with Meliora, they're the top brand for sustainable and organic soaps. And as a B-Certified company, they legally oblige themselves to maintain very strict social and environmental criterion.
Their 4oz soaps are a mix of nourishing organic coconut, and local sunflower oils. Keeping your skin happy and healthy with a bar soap that doesn't dry out your skin. And because there are no harsh ingredients, these bars are great for those with sensitive skin.
No animal testing, synthetic fragrances, preservatives, dye, parabens, sulfates, or phthalates.
I used the tea tree one for my body and it works fine - does what I expected it to! I like the smell and it’s not too overpowering.
I will say though, I bought the unscented one as well (this was on Melioras website since it wasn’t available here) and when I tried using it “down there” I had some sort of reaction to it! It calmed down on its own after a bit thankfully but I was surprised since I never really have reactions over anything and I assumed since it was essentially just a bar of glycerin with no fragrance it would be fine. I didn’t try the tea tree one on that area since I was worried about the fragrance potentially being irritating. Just be careful using it on sensitive parts and test a patch so you don’t end up like me lol.
I've been using this as a hand soap in the bathroom and I've gotten so many compliments! Same goes for the bamboo soap tray
I was highly skeptical, especially given that it’s essentially one ingredient. I have to say though that it absolutely blew me away. We recently had a pretty significant female staining issue on some sheets (you ladies know what I’m talking about) and I was dreading trying to get it out of the pale pink cotton. With other stain removers I often had to do multiple washed for a set in stain of this type, and even then was oft n left with a faint outline/discoloration. This was with using quality commercial brands like Persil, Tide, OxyClean brand etc. One wash with this stain stick and the Meliora laundry powder and I can’t tell for the life of me where the stain even was. That right there just pretty much guaranteed this stain stick and the laundry powder will always be stocked in this house!
I have just about used up my first bar and have already re-ordered more! The lemongrass sent is so fresh. It's not overpowering either. Also, the lemongrass scent lasts to the very end. It doesn't wane at all. I appreciate how this bar lasts. I keep it on a soap saver so it doesn't sit in water. The bar doesn't get soft or mushy and keeps it shape until the end.
