Most cleaning products are packaged in plastic bottles which ends up contaminating the ecosystem. Plastic is not biodegradable and although it was meant to last forever, most of it is only used once.

Lots of it ends up in the oceans, and that has toxic effects on everyone. 90% of the water people drink and the food being eaten contain microplastics.

Oceans and wildlife are also being affected, plastic has been found in 100% of marine turtles, 59% of whales, 40% of seabirds, and 36% of seal species examined. And scientists predict that by 2050, the ocean will contain more plastic by weight than fish.
