Over 1 billion plastic toothbrushes are thrown away in the United States each year creating over 50 million pounds of waste, we can do something about that!
These toothbrush handles are made of natural bamboo that's 100% compostable and biodegradable. They easily last the recommended 3 months before swapping to a new brush. You can also boil it in water with a splash of vinegar to help extend it's life.
You don't need a plastic toothbrush to clean your teeth. Switch to a sustainable product, from a sustainable small business in Hawai'i. Wahi Hawaii donates to beach clean-ups and other initiatives with each product purchased!
Think about it... that plastic toothbrush you used when you were 4 is still on the planet.
And because over 1,000,000,000 plastic toothbrushes are thrown away in the US every year, sustainable bamboo toothbrushes are a great alternative.
Is a highly sustainable renewable that can grow up to 3 feet an hour!

Wahi Hawai'i's Give Back Program
Wahi Hawaii is a proud member of the 1% for the Planet program. Which means that they donate 1% of our total annual revenue to nonprofit environmental conservation organizations around the globe.
They also donate an additional 10% of every sale to local conservation efforts here in Hawaii outside of 1% FTP.
Which conservation programs does Wahi support?
They are big fans of the team at the MOC Marine Institute! They make ongoing donations throughout the year in the form of cash, in kind gifts and purchases towards their fishing line recycling bin program.
Wahi Hawaii also supports numerous beach clean ups, fundraisers and group conservation efforts both here in Hawaii and on the mainland.
Where does their bamboo come from?
Wahi Hawaii regularly talks with farmers and landowners across the globe and discuss things like heat and rainfall to decide most sustainable places to harvest from. Together they decide where the best bamboo is being produced. They currently use bamboo from Indonesia, Vietnam, India and China.
