Aidan started Ecoternatives at 19 in Hawai'i, where he witnessed the first-hand effects of plastic pollution & short-sighted corporations his whole life. 

From there, he spent 3 years figuring out how to build the world's most affordable eco store, as he was so frustrated with the current options. 

He thought: If I can sell sustainable products more affordably, without sacrificing on ethics or quality, this could bring down a huge barrier for consumers. He used his economics & entrepreneurship degree to do just that.

Aidan also wants to help people see that everything we consume has an impact on something, somewhere. Even if we may not see it.

Aynsley Ramsaur
(COO)
After 2 years of tirelessly working on Ecoternatives alone, Aidan needed help. Responding to customer inquires was getting in the way of product stock issues, which was getting in the way of marketing. 

That's when he met Aynsley at college. After 5 previous hires that didn't stick, Aynsley proved to be a crucial asset. What's funny though, is that Aynsley didn't know anything about plastic pollution when starting out. 

However, it only took a few weeks working with Aidan as he rambled on about plastic this, big business that, for her to become obsessed with it; and even start earning national recognition on her ideas in sustainable manufacturing. 

Now, outside of spending her weekends at the beach, camping, or finishing her studies, she's helping run the operations at ecoternatives.
