93% of our products are made in the USA. Though we have 1 from Canada, 1 from the UK, and 3 from China. China is where we get our bamboo products, since that's where Bamboo grows. Either way, all of our suppliers were rigorusly vetted by the Ecoternatives team.

You can find an incredible amount of poorly made, unethical products from brands that pretend to be sustainable but really aren't on Amazon. Sometimes for a lower price than ours.

HOWEVER, I can promise you that for our sustainability, ethics, lifespan, and quality, all of our products at Ecoternatives are significantly more affordable than what you can find on Amazon.

For example, there might be a bar soap that uses carcinogens, inorganic oils, palm oil (2nd largest reason for deforestation and linked to forced child labor) and made in a wasteful factory for cheaper than ours. Though, our bar soap is organic, fair trade, toxin free, and irresponsible palm oil free. There's a lot more that goes into product that we often don't see.

We put each product into a 5-week testing program with 5+ testers. As well as heavily research each supplier, meet with them, and put them through our meticulous 12-step sustainability & ethics process before we add them to our site. You can read more about this in detail in our blogs.
