EcoLiving’s soft organic cotton also uses a lot less water in the production process than non-organic cotton. And the manufacturing facility is dedicated to maintaining an ultra low carbon footprint.
Of course, the packaging is fully biodegradable + recycable too, instead of packaged completely in plastic.
Jo started Ecoliving in 2014 after refusing to accept that waste is an inevitable consequence of how we consume products.
With a firm belief that there is almost always an eco-friendly option that is comparable in price, better in quality and that doesn’t come at the expense of the planet, she started her own zero waste store.
Now, EcoLiving...
Manufactures their products in a carbon-neutral warehouse.
Is partnered with Eden Reforestation projects to plant a tree for every product sold.
And is a member of 1% For The Planet, donating a portion of all profits to environmental efforts to stop climate change and reduce extreme poverty.
Most cotton swabs are made out of inorganic cotton because it is so much cheaper for businesses to purchase. The thing is, growing inorganic cotton required incredible amounts of pesticides required to produce this cotton, which deteriorates our precious soils, water, and atmosphere. It is also extremely water intensive. Some say it is the most pesticide and water intensive crop on Earth.
When used the paper stick just bends, giving little control over cotton tip. I've had paper ones before that have been fine, just need to remember what make they were!
Quite tightly pressed cotton
Much rather make the ethical choice than use a plastic alternative. These are every bit as good and do no harm.
No complains at all, good quality, maybe a little too small but we just got more packets. No diference to other brands of also compostable cotton budds
