Razor Blade Disposal Container

I want to note that you can always use an empty soda can or soup can instead of purchasing this product. The most sustainable item is the one you already have. 

However, if you are someone who prefers to purchase something a little prettier that they can keep for life, feel free to check this out. Our blade bank is a simple container that can collect dozens of used safety blades.

While stainless steel razor blades are recyclable, it's important to dispose of them properly to ensure the safety of both the recycling workers and the environment. Many recycling programs may not accept small metal items like razor blades due to the challenges associated with handling them safely.

Once your container is full you can:

1. Contact your city to ask if their scrap metal recycling program accepts used razor blades.
2. Send your 'bank' to Terracycle, where they will take back any and all blades to recycle them for you. 
3. Transfer your blades into a closed container and throw it in the trash. This is not the most sustainable option, but if your municipality does not recycle blades, there is little we can do.
