Hawaii's only locally made, plastic-free sunscreen approved by the FDA.
Little Hands Hawai'i was created to prevent people from using cancer-causing chemicals on their skin and reefs. And is currently being ran by a mom and pop on the island of Maui.
The 1oz stick is perfect for a sunny hike, or day at the beach. Available in both white and tinted (tinted with iron oxide minerals).
Conveniently packaged in a very sturdy and biodegradable push-up stick.
With a recent peer reviewed study stating that 78 common sunscreens were found to have carcinogens in them (including SunBum, Banana Boat, and Neutrogena), using safe and natural sunscreen now is important as ever.
Around 5,000 tons of sunscreen enter into our oceans annually. That’s the weight of about 78 humpback whales!
Even at extremely low concentrations, chemicals like oxybenzone found in sunscreens can be very harmful for corals and other marine life. It’s part of the reason scientists expect nearly all coral reefs to disappear within the next 20 years. With coral playing such an important part in maintaining the health of the oceans, this is a hard fact to hear.
Active ingredient: Non-Nano Zinc Oxide
Inactive: Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter, Local Beeswax, Sunflower Wax, Vitamin E Oil, Elderberry and Frankincense Essential Oil.
Little Hands Hawaii story began with the birth of Michael and Rosalyn's first daughter in 2011. Rosalyn was standing in a health store reading all the “natural” sunscreen labels and wondering why she couldn’t pronounce half the ingredients. This began her research on sunscreen ingredients she soon realized they weren’t so natural after all; they were actually toxic!
Little Hands Sunscreen not only respects The Ocean but it perpetuates Hawai’i values for your entire Ohana. We have nothing to hide and everything to give from clean pure ingredients to how our sunscreen is made.
They take pride in their responsible plastic free packaging. All their products are also printed with soy ink and the labels are made from recycled compostable material.
The sunscreen is made by Hawaiians and the values are echoed in every batch made.

Knowing that plastic waste is expected to almost TRIPLE by 2060, choosing a plastic free sunscreen is one small thing we can do to help be a part of the solution.
I try all kinds of sunscreens as I suffer from hormonal melasma and spend alot of time in the water . This feels like your wearing some foundation but it is zinc ! No white face :) easy to use feels smooth, not tacky, reef safe, and smells good! Try it !
A little goes a long way! Great eco friendly ingredients and packaging!
Tinted Version
Very user friendly and goes on perfectly. I love that the packaging is compostable. It's perfect for water activities. Earth friendly and reef safe. Best sunscreen period.
Such an amazing stick! It goes on almost dry feeling. No greasy feeling! No white cast (with the tint)! Settles well under makeup…And plus, no coconut oil, which my face doesn’t like and is in most mineral sunscreens for face. Thank you!!
