Compost Manufacturing Alliance

Bambu® is a certified member of the Compost Manufacturing Alliance (CMA). As such, we maintain a high standard of compost quality across 20 composting facilities throughout the U.S. CMA provides field testing to ensure products are truly compostable.

Carbon Neutral

Bambu works with CarbonFund.org to calculate their carbon footprint and offset it through programs that fund renewable energy and reforestation projects.

Traditional scouring pads are often made with a toxic chemicals and pesticides, including triclosan, which can cause health issues and destroys fragile ecosystems. It's an anti-bacterial agent that is classified as highly toxic to aquatic organisms such as algae and fish.

In addition, plastic microfibers regularly fray from scouring pads and enter our oceans and water systems. More than you would think, it’s one of the reasons humans consume a credit card worth of plastic every week, and why there are 500x more microplastics in the ocean than stars in the galaxy.

Conventional scouring pads are also just made out of plastic, meaning they are petroleum based. 12 million barrels of oil are used every year to create plastic products like these.
